Observations and School Tours

School Tours & Observations:
School Tours occur monthly at both campuses. Primary Campus (grades K-2; 370 Old Ivy) tours begin at 10:00am and Intermediate Campus (grades 3-5; 4141 Wieuca Rd) tours begin at 10am.

During this tour, parents/guardians visit the campus to familiarize themselves with the campus, learn about school policies and receive answers to any questions.  Please contact a New Parent Committee Chair, Lisa Hermann (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) /404.843.3501) or Elizabeth Dowlen (404.812.0643,{encode=" .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)" title=" .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)"}), to reserve a space in the monthly tour. If necessary, an alternate tour time may be arranged.

Prospective Parent Open House:
The Prospective Parent Open House is January 19, 2012 at 9:30 at the Primary Campus. The open house will provides information about Sarah Smith Elementary through a presentation by the Administrative team and tours of the facility.  If you are unable to attend the open house, please contact the school or check back to this website for more information about Kindergarten Registration and Screenings which usually occur in March/April, Round up in early May and Super Buddy events over the summer.

Kindergarten Screenings:
Parents and rising Kindergarten students will be invited to visit the campus in the Spring for a special opportunity for the Sarah Smith Kindergarten team to meet and observe the rising kindergartners.  This will enable the Sarah Smith administration to match up teachers and students in the fall.
The screening Dates for 2012 are to be announced.

NOTE: In the interest of our students, tours and observations are by appointment only.  Also, we ask that children not attend the tour so that parents feel comfortable asking candid questions about Sarah Smith.  Please arrange for childcare.  Each session will end at the designated time.
